School Spirit is still strong at Sacred!

Updated: Nov 22, 2021

How Huskies are staying positive during their first quadmester.

As the first quadmester came to a close, I’m sure many of us were reflecting on what went well, and what may need to be altered as the year progresses. However, if there is one thing teachers won’t have to worry about in this crazy year, it is the Husky school spirit! The school’s first spirit week went extremely well, and was a fun way to bring together the school community this fall. Students were able to participate in person and at home in dress up days. The addition of online activities such as a pumpkin carving contest was a creative and exciting way for at-home learners to show their positive spirit. Our Husky resilience during this first quadmester didn’t go unnoticed. Mrs. Donahgy, a high school teacher said

“it was fun, positive and uplifting.”

Students said they enjoyed the week as well. Gabby Reitano, a grade 10 student, said that spirit week was,

“an exciting way to come together in these difficult times.”

With all that being said, it is clear that even in the most unprecedented times, the school spirit at Sacred Heart shines through.
