Sacred Heart hosted its very first pep rally in the cafeteria two weeks ago and it was a huge success! Tables were filled and sidelines were crowded, cheers echoed, and there was certainly no shortage of participants for the games. The biggest hit was the life-size game of Hungry Hungry Hippos. One person stood and held another's legs, who was lying on a scooter board. Working together, they had to collect as many of the balls scattered around the floor as they could. The other games were Tug-of-War and Limbo.
Before the games began, though, the senior and junior girl's basketball teams were introduced to the crowd so they could get to know the teams representing our school!
The event was organized by the Student Council and was true to Co-Prez Troy’s campaign promises from last year. There’s surely more to come with Sacred Heart Pep Rallies throughout the year! There are so many great teams this year to be promoted; a pep rally every month is currently suggested, and new game ideas are brewing. New suggestions are always welcome regarding future pep rallies and other school events, so don’t be afraid to tell someone you know in Student Council if you have any ideas. Let’s keep up the great school spirit! When the next pep rally approaches, information will be posted on the school announcements.
