Out In The Wilderness

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

October 4th, 2022 saw the students in Mr. Grill’s Outdoor Ed class off on an enjoyable camping trip at Fitzroy Park. They had excellent weather and the students participated in many group activities, such as canoeing and cooking. Photos of some of their meals can be found on the school website, from pancakes and eggs to rice and broccoli. They played card games in their tents, went for nighttime walks, and had a great time stargazing.

Of course, no camping trip is complete without a few scary campfire stories. When asked about the trip, Kenny Dao (Grade 11) replied with enthusiasm saying,

“It was great!”

The students returned from their adventure on October 6th and photos of their trip can be found on the school

website (shh.ocsb.ca); the photos include the students in action

on their canoes and posing for photos near their campsite.
