Bi-weekly Biography

Updated: Nov 2, 2021

You have probably met Mr. Geoff Guitard one way or another. Perhaps, by going into the chapel to pray or by hearing his voice over the announcements saying the daily prayer. Mr. Guitard is the chaplain at Sacred Heart High School. He’s been the chaplain at the school for 5 years and has enjoyed every day of it. At first, he wasn’t sure of his path but after studying theology, philosophy, and education, when he saw a chaplaincy position open he thought he might try it. He loves his job because he likes guiding people with God’s words through prayer and helping people with their struggles. Every morning he writes a new prayer because,

“The work of praying and leading people in prayer means that my heart has to be ready to pray those words. I want these words to come from the heart.”

He hopes that with his prayers he can reach someone and help them know that they are not alone.
