Battle Of The Generations

The Grads walked away as the winners of the annual Grads vs. Teachers buy-out hockey game on Friday, February 17th. Students were able to donate $2 to buy into the game during the end of period 2 and stay into their lunch periods to cheer on both the Teachers and the Grads. Student council raised over $550 for the Ottawa Heart Institute through the friendly charity game.

At the end of the first period, the Grads were winning with three goals, while the Teachers had yet to score. The first two minutes of the next period saw the Grads scoring an additional two goals and an impressive three goals by the Teachers. Although the period was only 15 minutes long, there was lots of action, including Mr. Brisson scoring during a penalty shot. The Grads and the Teachers took a total of 27 and 23 shots respectively throughout the game.

The final score was 5 to 7 for the Grads. The game ended at 10:55 after the second period.
