Sacred Heart’s Senior Girls basketball team continued their strong start to the season with a nail-biting 54-50 win over John McCrae and a close loss against Mother Teresa. The girls are currently sitting in second place in the division with 205 points for, trailing only South Carleton who they face off against on Monday, October 17th. The girls will finish off their season on October 19th at Earl of March where they will look to secure their sport in the playoffs.
The Junior Girls basketball team is currently in second place in their division having won three games and losing only to division leaders South Carleton. They still have three games left and will face off against Earl of March twice and John McCrae twice to finish off their season.
Meanwhile, the Husky’s Senior Boys volleyball team has played four games so far this season. They are currently in fourth place in their division with two wins and two losses. They will continue their season on October 14th against Franco-Ouest and finish their season on October 18th against Notre Dame.
Both the Senior and Junior boys rugby 7’s teams both participated in a tournament on Thursday, October 13th. The juniors went undefeated winning four of their four games, while the Seniors had four close games but ended up coming up short. Both teams’ hard work did not go unrecognized as they fought until the end in the freezing cold and pouring rain.
The Varsity Girls rugby 7’s faced off in a tournament on Wednesday, October 12th. They played tough and worked hard all day and finished with a 1-4 record.
